Actually, not a chorale in any sense.

chorale: “ a musical composition…consisting of or resembling a harmonized version of a simple, stately hymn tune.”

Titanic: a 75-minute highly varied and complex theater score played and sung over the course of 2 and a half hours.

The analogy would be like beginning a review of Light in the Piazza by saying of the entire piece “While not in the strictest sense an example of Italian art song…” or starting a post on Hamilton by saying “Though the show is not strictly speaking a hip-hop song…”

Well, no kidding.
