I highly recommend the original cast album. It's been remixed and remastered by Bruce Kimmel and he's done a wonderful job. It's available on his label, Kritzerland. To my knowledge, the most complete recording is the 2 CD set of the Papermill Playhouse revival. It's titled "Follies - The Complete Recording 1998 New Jersey Cast" and includes songs that never were used in the show. Plus it's available now on Amazon at a meager price. I'm not crazy about the 1987 London revival recording but it does include Diana Rigg's version of "Ah, But Underneath" which replaced "Lucy and Jessie"' |
