| Do the featured performers get paid for a fundraiser? I had assumed they would not be paid for a fundraiser, but that could be entirely wrong. I assume the orchestra, the crew backstage, and the front of house staff get paid. If the featured performers don't get paid, I could see the chorus going either way. For last night, there were minimal or no advertising costs, which helps. I'm glad you asked this question, because I have wondered this myself about the for-profit one-night-only concert stagings, where presumably everyone gets paid. There was a group whose name I can't remember that was putting on a concert staging every year with lot of well-known people in the cast, and I was wondering how this could be profitable. |
