Some of the songs in Ain't Misbehavin' (including the title song) were indeed written for shows. A few of the songs ("Jitterbug Waltz" and "Handful of Keys" in particular) were instrumentals given new "vocalise"-style lyrics by Richard Maltby.
Crazy For You (a Madonna song, lol) was indeed a reworking of Girl Crazy, and like many a revival, quite reworked, this one just more extensively. I don't think it's in any way a jukebox musical. Neither were Nice Work If You Can Get it, An American In Paris, or My One And Only. |
