This! Could not agree more. I was skeptical going in and completely dumbfounded once it unfolded. Had no idea an NBC sitcom pilot was being rehearsed in the Beaumont.
None of the performances were earned -- the immediate shifts from laughs to tears were so jarring and the directorial and acting choices just baffling.
We adore these performers individually -- was especially looking forward to seeing Judy, Allison and Anika -- but wondered what in the world they were doing throughout. Such a complete miss from everyone involved. |
