A bit harsh to pair You Must Love Me (obvious Oscar bait and not on the level of the rest of the Evita score) with the thirty plus very tuneful character songs Taub wrote for Suffs!
If it were only Stereophonic vs Water for Elephants that would be one thing (I’d pick Stereophonic there too) but I think both Suffs and Outsiders have quite good scores. Although I guess not too many agree with me? I’ve been listening to both albums often and have found lots to love. (Currently listening to Let Mother Vote which is such a fun and catchy opener.) |
