| Do not misconstrue. I love FOLLIES. I saw the original production twice on Broadway, and once in Los Angeles. I have seen both major London productions. I have seen the Broadway revivals. I have seen two concert versions and am going to the one at Carnegie Hall next week. But there is a stretch of 20 minutes or so - maybe longer (it always feels like aeons) - leading up to 'Loveland' - which is just awful. As far as I know it has never been revised. |
