| You sort of skated around the answer, but then you hit upon it anyway: we have awards in order to sell tickets and make money. They don't necessarily have any meaning beyond that. And they're a lot of fun to think about and debate, and they're a lot of fun to win, but they're also always stupid - name any award out there, and someone or something that was lousy won it, so what does it mean when you win it? - and kind of ridiculous. |
