| Yikes. I saw it on stage and was a bit bored. But I just listened to the score (which is tony nominated), there is just too many songs. It really should have focused on 15 or so. I felt the same about &Juliet. Just relentless song after song without much dialog. 1776 has long segments between songs. And for some reason I don’t have a problem with phantom, Les mis or Sweeney which are pretty much sung through. So maybe someone can explain why suffs is insufferable when others aren’t. |
