Do you take the subway? I commute to work 1-3 times a week and probably see at least a dozen officers on each leg of the journey.
Also, I think it’s ridiculous to say that late evening subway riding is the reason people no longer dress up to go see theater. That’s been a cultural shift long in the making.
I’ve experienced late night subway work and annoying weekend subways ever since moving to the city 20 years ago. This endless sentiment of “things aren’t what they used to be” is just as much a factor for any decline in the attraction of Broadway than actual occurrences or changes. |
