I too was dumbfounded by all the negative reactions to this production. I enjoyed it very much and was so happy that PBS chose to produce it for TV
I wish that PBS had also taped the Prlie at Encores had done since I missed that.
Oh how I miss the old days of TV when there was such a thing as the Play Of The week !!! Imagine a new production every week that played much like a Broadway show each day for an entire week with no ads and name stars: Medea with judith Anderson, Iceman Commeth with Jason Robards, New Faces of 1952 with much (all?) of its original cast |
