What a shame and a loss that PBS isn't able to do broadcasts of Encores productions. Not only for the preservation of these shows, and the exposure for audiences. If they had it built in to film/air them, it would become a cultural routine... and it would probably provide a needed incentive for Encores producing staff to not give up on old and/or rare gems, especially if PBS were an investor in the productions financially as part of the partnership.
