I didn’t find this revival too loud. I’ve seen it twice now. The initial Broadway production did not use so many projection and the color palette was more varied. That first production was one of the most thrilling shows I’ve seen on Broadway. It was electrifying.

I think the singing and movement in this version is impressive. I sat slightly to the left in the orchestra this time and had trouble seeing the back of the stage. I just love the score. I did find it more obvious this time around that if someone had broken the mirror earlier, Tommy would have gotten better sooner.

Does anyone have an opinion why yellow is chosen as a prominent color in this production?
