| No idea if it was submitted - my guess is that it probably was. I doubt it would be eligible next year. I suspect that the committee may have not taken the music into account in judging it. I also think there are other factors weighing against it. But I wrote a lengthy response below about how I don't really think the Pulitzer Prize for Drama actually means as much as we might like to think - so yeah. The winners and finalists are often ... fine plays. But in recent history, not usually the "Best" plays. |
