I expect the score will be nominated. It could well win because the spring musicals don't seem to have acclaimed scores, and the ones mentioned like Days of Wine and Roses, Here Lies Love, and Harmony are in closed shows, and I also think those three shows might split the vote for a closed show if they all get nominated. I think they all have their fans, but I'm not sure any of them have gotten enough buzz that I would call them a frontrunner.

Also, Stereophonic is a play, but it's about music, and the score plays a much larger role in the play than in almost any other play. It wouldn't be a surprising winner.

I hate to say it, but I feel like there's no consensus because most of the spring productions are getting "good but not great" feedback. It's because so little is popping as opposed to an embarrassment of riches.
