| I think how professionals refer to one another can depend on the situation and the people. I will say that very often, even in regional theatre situations, I might hand a stage manager a typed-up schedule of what music i want to work on with whom when, using actor's first names, and yet when the info appears on the callsheet it's been translated to "Mr [Last name] and "Ms [Last name] etc. I think a lot of people still tend to use that format out of respect. I do think that would have been even more prevalent in the time Merrily is set. |
