| The comic direction of Fanny was done for Beanie, and it is over the top television staging in some scenes. McCrimmon is strongest in dramatic moments, but also has a sad subtext of desperation to her comedy that works for the character. Yes, Lukas is still bland, but Nick is a thankless role. He is strong in the second act dramatic scenes with McCrimmon. |
