I think it's truer to say that comedic performances rarely win at the Academy Awards. Comedies seldom win Best Picture.
Many Oscar voters mostly prize ''serious'' acting in dramas. Which is why I like the Golden Globes, which recognize dramas AND comedies/musicals. |
