| Yes this struck me as not accurate. Especially in the Featured category. Just last year Bonnie Milligan won for a very comedic performance. And Alex Newell won for Shucked. Other comedic nominees: Julia Lester, NaTasha Yvette Williams, and Kevin Cahoon. Last year, LuPone won for a largely comedic performance, Matt Doyle won with a very comedic performance, with other comedic nominees Jennifer Simard and Jayne Houdyshell. 2019 Allie Stroker won with a comedic role, with comedic nominees Andy Grotelueschen, Sarah Stiles, and Mary Testa. 2018 had comedic nominees Ashley Park, Norbert Leo Butz, Grey Henson, and Gavin Lee 2017: Gavin Creel won in one. 2016: winner Daveed Diggs, nominees Jennifer Simard, Christopher Fitzgerald 2015: winner Christian Borle, nominees Brad Oscar, Andy Karl. there's just so many. |
