Other than the contrarian posers on here (and I am not including you in that), I think most folks believe there is a respectable amount of quality in 23-24.
Looking just at the top 4 categories, I see 7, including some I would say are for the ages. I think we are recovering and I also think the numbers show it. If there is a category that troubles me, it is the musical and I think we are still seeing the ill-effects of the pandemic brought on by a generation or more of dysfunction, artistic blindness and mediocrity, and irrelevance.
But I see enough this year to make me feel pretty good about the prospects for the future. |
