There have been numerous stage adaptations of the major Jane Austen novels.
Focusing on musicals:
FIRST IMPRESSIONS was a 1959 Broadway musical based on PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, by Abe Burrows, George Weiss, Bo Goldman, and Glenn Paxton.
In 2013, the Denver Center Theatre Company premiered a musical version of SENSE AND SENSIBILITY by Neal Hampton and Jeffrey Haddow.
Both of those books were also musicalized by Paul Gordon, who wrote the score for the Broadway JANE EYRE. His versions both premiered at Theatreworks Silicon Valley, which also produced his adaptation of Austen's EMMA.
