It’s fine that you don’t think it’s a good song. You don’t have an emotional response to it. Great. It’s one of the most iconic songs of the last 50 years. You can’t say the same thing for Pete’s Dragon. Two bars into it conjures an entire movie experience. It is indelibly linked to that movie. Popular entertainment is not necessarily a bad thing.
