| I agree this would be a bold move, but we have no time to waste. I think everyone who has been booked into the Kennedy Center for the rest of the year should cancel now. I know they would have to sacrifice $$$$ and a chance to perform there which was surely a dream. But a fund should be set up NOW by all the wealthy artists from every genre and raise millions of $$$ to be administered by a new non-profit to pay each of them the salary they are walking away from and their staff, crew, etc. Yes I know this would take millions and millions of $$$, but get Midler, Streisand, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Woody Allen, Streep, Keaton, Britney Spears, Jagger, DeNiro, Hoffman, Broadway producers, film producers, Elton John, opera singers, ballet stars, every star....to donate a slew of $$$$$ Spielberg, etc. rock stars, country western stars, etc. to embrace this NOW. Other American venues should book them asap and show the world that American artists aren't going to let adolf trump and this devil-incarnate musk ruin our civilization. NO WAY. We can do this by ourselves. | |
