Yes it was a huge mistake to cut Long Ago as a number between Ann and Kipps in the film of Half a Sixpence. As someone else has pointed out a fragment of the song is sung by a chorus at the start of the film.
I wish a restored blu ray of the film version would be released. Every other Paramount movie is being put on blu ray these days including the weak film of Paint Your Wagon.
The film of the Charlie Stemp London revival was shown on British TV and I found an upload of it on YouTube. It would be great if it were released on physical media. |
