I was a kid. It was a joy. Tommy Steele was a lollapalooza of a showman, and the idea that you didn’t need to be somebody other than who you really are (as in Aladdin) was very satisfying. “Long Ago” seems like it was a necessary song for the romantuc reconciliation. Wonder how they do without it.
