I saw the premiere at Steppenwolf. It's been a few years, so I don't remember all the details, but, yes, I think it's supposed to make you think about these queasy things. The play is showing a different side, so you can now think about both sides. There isn't necessarily an answer.
I do remember it being extremely uncomfortable (not in a "wish I hadn't seen it" way) and can imagine different feelings being provoked, depending on what one has seen and experienced in their life. |
