I actually thought that Brent Barrett was the best Frank that production fielded.
Since Martin did the original national tour of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, was that tour a replica of the original Broadway production? And was the TV production based on that?
I didn't think much of the 1999 revival, despite my love for Peters, McIntire, and, surprisingly, Crystal Bernard (of the sitcom WINGS, among other things) who came in near the end and gave it a real bluegrass feel, quite different from her predecessors. I was surprised that Marilu Henner never did it in New York after leading the national tour. |
