| ...she was excellent in SELENA and, more recently, in HUSTLERS, a film that awards prognosticators thought might get her an Oscar nomination. I think they might have been a tad optimistic on that last one, but, while hardly a great actress, when well cast, well directed and working... within her limits... she can be quite good. I have a suspicion (and some of the early reviews confirm) that Bill Condon has gotten a very respectable performance out of her. |
