| Last night (1/19), as it had been announced, Cole Escola, Conrad Ricamora and James Scully took their bows before leaving ''Oh, Mary!'' It's been rumored that Escola might be returning for awards season, but no idea when. If I had my druthers, Ricamora and Scully would return, too; they were a riot, opposite the hilarious Escola. Apparently, it looks like Peter Smith, the show's male understudy, also was leaving. All four got bouquets at the curtain call. Did anyone here make it to their last show? Someone on the BroadwayWorld message board posted that some tickets were going for $7,700 at StubHub. ''Oh, Mary!'' returns Tuesday with Betty Gilpin as Mary Todd Lincoln; Phillip James Brannon as Mary's Husband, and Chris Renfro as Mary's Teacher. Bianca Leigh as Mary's Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary's Husband's Assistant will continue. But I wonder how the new cast will fare at the box office. |
