Nothing about him is the most generous thing one could say. He is a solid, stolid professional. No acting, no subtlety. He has almost only one volume, forte, if not double forte.
Tosca is an opera for three great singers/singing actors. Not two. Peter Gelb is usually hard pressed to find two, so I gues he gets points? |
