Interesting. I could say "who knew?" but that would be silly since I know you did. :-)

One of my best friends from school had a grandparent (or maybe great grandparent) who came from the same town in Poland and moved to the same town in (I think) New Jersey and somehow they reconnected at some point. I remember learning more about her than most people do. Her real last name is Fink, for example.

I think one could put together a book based on songs in this way, but you could probably do it with just about anything. (And people probably have.) For instance, were she so inspired, Ann could publish an anthology of theatre stories based on the screen names on ATC. I'd buy a copy or two, comfortable in knowing that my screen name is not inspiring enough to be chosen for inclusion.

I am at a loss for words about the LA devastation, as are so many, but we have everyone affected in our thoughts constantly. I am glad that it sounds like you have escaped at least the devastation part.
