Just got home from seeing a performance of the tour this (Sunday) evening. The tour is in good shape - the audience really ate it up.
Having seen this production multiple times (Broadway, first National Tour) I was a bit bored with it. The two female leads were nothing special but I will say the actor playing Billy Flynn was excellent. The ensemble and their choreography were terrific and - best of all - the orchestra was just exceptional. So if this tour is playing near you, Chicago is definitely worth seeing but don't spend lots of $$ to see it. |
