| I'm very late to this party, just saw the movie, I never saw the show nor read the show's source novel. The leads are charming/talented and the OVER production has impressive moments, but I didn't enjoy Wicked at all. SO tween, artificial, forgettable score and the story's stretched as thin as paper, resulting in a drawn out, 2 hour 40 minute running time. It's interesting, in our tik tok/ADD world, how the show's following allowed for the creator's to film 2 movies and it to be as successful as it is. I've not seen anything else, from what I've read, other than the Almodovar, nothing is interesting me. |
