What an odd and icky comment. How many Broadway stars are, in terms of looks, in the same league as Nicole Kidman? Since when does one have to be a "knockout" to be a Broadway star? I am not going to justify this with a list of all the stars who are not conventionally great beauties,but very few are. And the "gals" on Desperate Housewives? That's your sexist measure? A show from 20 years ago? Ew.
McArdle is not a bigger star, in my estimation, because while she possesses a fantastic instrument and uses it very well, she is a bit dead behind the eyes. She is a great belter but not a great interpreter. |
