If fans, or even perspective producers and directors, get introduced to the songs and then used to them at the tempos on the album, I would think at a certain point you've crossed the point of no return on that. You run a very high risk of frustrating and distracting so many audiences who are there because of their familiarity with it from the album(s), over so many years... I know they can do whatever they want, or think is right for the score, but at a certain point it seems like an uphill battle that just makes the familiar audiences feel cheated, gaslit, or confused, and ultimately frustrated as their mind plays the song slightly faster than the production in front of them is delivering it. | |
