| Lavin played Patsy Newquist in the revival of Little Murders that was a big hit at Circle in the Square downtown in 1969. It was successful enough that a film version was made. Alan Arkin directed the revival and was hired to direct the film. He cast in the film the actors who played the other members of the Newquist family: Vincent Gardenia, Elizabeth Wilson, and Jon Korkes. When he saw Last of the Red Hot Lovers, he decided to cast Marcia Rodd as Patsy. |
