Where was the O-H? Did it have a resident theater?
I was much enthralled with Foreman's production of THE THREEPENNY OPERA at Lincoln Center and saw it several times. A couple of years later I saw something else of his -- AMERICAN IMAGINATION maybe? -- directed in much the same style as THREEPENNY and grew slightly disenchanted. A little later I was around NYCO when MADAME ADARE was produced as part of a triple bill at the State Theater. His style didn't translate well at all there. |
