That's a good and valid point. I don't doubt that Friedman brought to this revival her experience and insights from acting in ''Merrily'' and having worked with Sondheim. Groff has raved about her direction. But it's often said, too, that ''90% of good direction is casting,'' so she certainly deserves credit for that. |
