This may be true, but sometimes the sound depends so much on the cinema where you see a film.
Only once did I feel the mix was off, just at the very end of "Popular" where I felt we lost the words of the joke "Just not quite as popular as" before the "me".
But on the other hand, knowing the score well from seeing the show several times, my ears might have thought they heard more than they did in a lot of the songs.
Personally, I love old films - 30s, 40s, 50s - for their clear diction. But I thought WICKED did fairly well. |
