Has anyone seen this production? Apparently it's been running for decades in a specially-built theatre to give the audience a total emersion experience. I saw the original production in London. That production featured a ramp that circled the orchestra section -- which didn't allow people in the upper levels to see that particular, um, thrill. I didn't see the New York production. Once was enough. Did the performers skate into the audience area?
Google the German production for some neat photos. The costumes look like those designed for the original London production. |
