| I would be good money that Nathan (or one of those 3) mentioned that there was some kind of reading, intended to lead directly to a soon-to-be-booked production, with Nathan and Bernadette. That is crystal clear in my memory. How alarming it'll be if it's proven I'm wrong. Lol. I am honestly still surprised it didn't happen with them. There are no two Sondheim collaborators/actors still alive and working in the last few years that would have been more perfect and iconic to star in his last new work than Bernadette and Nathan... while I loved Bobby and Rachel more than I even expected to in this show, I do still wish the fans and history had gotten that perfect bow on the end of his career. |
