| Erivo was named Best Actress by the Washington D.C. Film Critics Ass'n and the Astra Awards, given out by the Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA). By the way, Erivo's ''Wicked'' nomination marks her 4th Golden Globe nomination, and she's been nominated in a different category all four times. There's such an endless orgy of critics' awards now that it often becomes an echo chamber, where so many of the same names are nominated over & over. Tomorrow brings Critics' Choice nominations, followed by the SAG nominations (Jan. 8), the BAFTA nominations (Jan. 15), the Oscar nominations (Jan. 17). |
