I know that I've read that Mamet is strongly opposed to miking. I think I may have read at the time of the Speed the Plow revival, which I saw early (yes, with Piven) on comps from the rear mezzanine. It seemed to me like, despite what I'd read, there might have been some hidden mikes onstage, although no one was wearing a mike.

But at the Palace? At the very least, there will be hidden mikes onstage. At one time, that's all there would have been for a play at the Palace (and, of course, if you go back far enough in time, there would have been no mikes). And I wouldn't be surprised if they decided the cast had to wear mikes.
