One of my most memorable coups de theatre was the final moment of Network. Beale is shot, he lies down on the stage, and the crowd converges around his body. All of this appears on the screens, filmed by the cameras. Then suddenly, one of the crowd turns around, and it's Cranston, giving the final narration. When did he swap with a double? How'd they do that? Elementary theatre magic, no doubt, but wow, did it work!! |
