Guess they want to make sure you aren't taking notes for your own production :-)
I've watched two shows there. Kiss of the Spiderwoman (which is possibly silly since I'd seen the original production with Chita, although after Brent Carver and Anthony Crivello had left). But I just love it so and I had a work reason for seeing it.
The other was the original Nine, mythical as it had been in my mind. Honestly I had trouble getting past the fact that Karen Akers was not in it, with Maureen McGovern perhaps the least Italian-seeming a replacement as could be. Shelly Burch had also been replaced by that time.
Note to anyone who goes there, you can check the cast list in advance if it matters to you. Not all shows were caprtured with the opening night cast. Evita is another. If you watch the video, you won't see LuPone. |
