Economics may have been part of the motivation back in 2001, but was the orchestration for URINETOWN not intended to sound a bit harsh and threadbare along the lines of a Kurt Weill overture circa 1930's Berlin? I saw it on Broadway a week before 9/11 when it was still in previews (I think) and I remember loving the sound of that band. How it will sound in the vast City Center, of course, is another matter.
