I really loved this play. The cast is perfection. It's riveting from the first moment until the last line. The less you know going in, the better. Jessica Hecht is a national treasure. Bill Irwin is a sly monster. Amber Grey proves she can do anything. The direction and design is so impressive (granted there were maybe a couple of long pauses, but they will work those out). The humor comes fast, regardless of which side of the argument you are on. Nobody is left unscathed and that's just how it should be. I much preferred this to the overlong and empty "The Hills of California." Here's hoping critics and audiences agree. |
