I watched this version recently via Hoopla, a streaming service available through some libraries.
Overall, I preferred it to the recent film. I liked the camera work better in the Hallmark movie, plus I felt several of the actors in that one offered more nuance. Teleplay by August Wilson, direction by Lloyd Richards. |
