| You’re quibbling. They’re legit quibbles. But quibbles, just the same. It’s a preview (despite the nerve they have for charging what they’re charging). And we all know what previews are for. To work out the kinks and tech glitches. That said, I agree with a lot of what you’re saying. The Garden of Eden is electric and spectacular. In another show. It kind of blew me away. It comes out of nowhere and I was on the edge of my seat. But it has about as much place in GYPSY as Joan Sutherland. And from my rather limited understanding of Minsky’s, is way off from what their shows looked like. And the fact that we’re two weeks in and the timing of the strip is still so bad is appalling. The speed of the strip(s) is critical to the audience’s understanding of her growth from scared girl to the top of her game. FFS, Mr. Wolfe, FIX THIS. |
