| Ballroom looked great. If flowed beautifully. The main story worked. Only later did I come to appreciate 50 Percent - the idea is perfect, but the image of a balance sheet set me off. The problem was many of the numbers were diegetic dances having no relationship to the book. One or two may have worked to give the tone of the place, but the dances and dancers were just too fine to be in that kind of Ballroom (no a low-life place, but a middle-class kind of place of another era). |
